The Golden Radiator Award is given to fundraising campaigns creating engagement through knowledge and creativity.
Jury's Comments : Wateraid turns to creativity rather than pity, which is a good way for bringing the message across. The video is very atmospheric and tense. It is produced in a way that you want to keep watching in order to find out what this is all about. It very efficiently contextualizes the problem in a western suburban setting. Putting the story in a European setting, you feel that this regards you. Wateraid addresses the problem as a universal challenge in the terms that the needs for sanitation regards us all, along with that the need of safety.
Jury's Comments : Plan UK’s video promotes the potential of the main character, and girls in her situation, as part of the solution for the issues they address. The video centers on human dreams and aspirations for the future, a universal aspect of humans. It also lets the main character have a voice and speak for herself. The “stop-frame” effect is creative and new in this field.
Jury's Comments : Most campaign videos don’t give you a feelgood vibe while watching. This video on the other side, focuses on the local potential along with dreams for the future of the women involved, and it does so through music and rhythms. This kind of messaging appeals to different age groups, including young people, and encourages curiosity. It was also ambitious to aim to film 500 women.
Jury's Comments : The main character in the video tells us about his dreams for his future life. While addressing the character`s potential as the main aspect, The organization manages to do what many organizations don’t, to convey both the problem they are addressing, and the potential in people who are facing these challenges.
